Education Development and Assessment (EDA) has had its first customer service NVQ Level 3 achiever. Maureen, who works in the library in a large secondary school, embarked on the qualification in 2007.

The programme followed was a mixture of workshops and one-to-one visits in the workplace where Maureen was assessed against the customer service standards. She developed a very impressive portfolio which was successfully verified in June 2008. Maureen said, on achieving the NVQ, “It gave me a more practical insight into customer service which helps me in my job as well as how I deal with people in my workplace."  She also added “I think many people in schools would benefit from taking up the opportunity to do an appropriate NVQ, depending on their job, as it would raise their self confidence, their self esteem and would also raise their profile in the workplace”. Congratulations to Maureen from the EDA team.
